FAQ
Why a life coach?
Life Coaching blends the best concepts from business, psychology, philosophy, sports and spirituality. Although coaching combines skills from other disciplines, it is a distinct process of supporting others to create an ideal life. Coaches work with clients on a variety of topics: from business and professional issues to personal and spiritual concerns. A life coach is an advocate, a sounding board, a cheerleader, an accountability partner, a truth teller and a supporter.
Life Coaching involves dialogue between the coach and you, the client, with the aim of helping you
obtain a fulfilling life. This is achieved by helping you establish what is important to you and by clarifying your values. With your input, the life coach co-creates value based goals and
a plan to achieve them. Through collaboration, the coach supports you to achieve these
goals.
Erickson said that we all have more abilities that we know, that everyone is like their fingerprints - a one of a kind, and we should tailor our approach to each individual client {rather than trying to tailor the client to fit our theories}, reconnecting them with their innate resourcefulness and helping them to create a preferred future.
These principles shift our work from diagnosing a condition and then treating IT, to focusing on each individual client and their latent abilities and provide an opportunity to get beyond merely treating a condition to healing a person - a drastic and moving change.
Who needs a life coach?
IF you are interested in changing and improving then life coaching is for you. There is a big difference between wanting to be healthy and making it happen. When we want to change we assume that our brain only needs to be told what to do and we will do it. Not so at all. Our brain follow what they are accustomed to , our habits. And therefore coaching helps you program or reprogram your brain with the new habits you want to put in place, so you don’t feel stuck anymore. So a life coach is for anyone who really wants to grow in any area of life.

What is the distinction between Coaching and Psychotherapy? What does a life coach do?
Coaching is not therapy, counseling or psychology. Although intervention often follows some
psychological models such as behavioral theory, the actual process of coaching should not be
mistaken for a therapeutic intervention. One of the most obvious differences between the two
approaches is that therapy tends to focus on feelings and experiences related to past events,
whereas coaching is oriented towards goal setting and encourages the client to move forward.
Who is coaching for?
A coach works with a functional person to get them to become exceptional. Therapists typically
work with people who need help to become emotionally healthy. A coach works with people
who are already emotionally healthy to move them to magnificent levels. Coaching does not rely
on past issues for achieving growth, but rather focuses on goals towards the future. Coaching is
action oriented. The focus is on where the client is right now, where they want to be next, and
how to get them there.
Is it covered by medical insurance?
Unlike therapy , Coaching is not covered by medical insurance. But one thing to remember is that most great therapists are using coaching methods. The strategies and tools that you will learn in coaching will be your great gift for life.
How long does coaching takes?
Coaching is very time efficient with lasting results because the strategies are matched specifically to suit the individual’s lifestyle and values. For a few, it takes one session to resolve their questions. For most people, it takes a series of sessions, and assessing progress till the results is satisfactory. The coachee’s neurology needs time to change and ingrain that transformation in the mind and body. Our goal is that every session brings the client to a new stage and a sense of improvement.
When is coaching not recommended?
Part of being a good coach is knowing when and who to coach. If the client needs medical treatment, we refer to required medical fields. No matter what, the client will gain from the coaching and it will surely enhanced the well being that is so wanted.
